　　写作背景

　　《雨巷》写于1927年夏天，血腥的“四·一二”大屠杀之后。诗人时年22岁。曾因投身革命而被捕的诗人，面对笼罩全国的白色恐怖，在痛苦中陷于彷徨迷惘。他隐居在江苏松江朋友家，孤独中嚼味着“在这个时代做中国人的苦恼”，“夜坐听风，昼眠听雨”，在阴霾中盼望飘起绚丽的彩虹。可生活贫乏，整天“窗头明月枕边书”，诗人只能在“旧时的脚印”、“青春的彩衣”和星光下的盘桓中寻求慰藉。个性的轻柔、忧郁和时代的重压，使《雨巷》成为现实黑暗和理想幻灭在诗人心中的投影，贮满了彷徨失望和感伤痛苦的情绪。
